Laung lata, also Lavang lata, is a traditional sweet from the regions of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar.It is a Khoya stuffed flour sweet which is then soaked in sugar syrup.Believed to be derived from the Bengali lobongo latika, this sweet is said to have made an appearance in Banaras more than 500 years ago.
