This act represents a silent prayer and blessing that the bride will never face a shortage of food, wealth, or happiness in her new home.                                                              They are typically crafted in a distinctive V-shape or triangle from rich red velvet, matching traditional bridal wear. They are often decorated with golden lace trims, embroidery, and dangling bead or metallic fringe tassels. It is then tied securely around the waist using attached fabric strings (dori) and often includes a hidden zipper pocket on the reverse side to safely store small essentials or cash during long ceremonies.
