Ahirwa hathi is an elephant figurine from Bihar and Jharkhand used in weddings, often handcrafted by the Kumhar community. They are essential auspicious symbols used to signify the presence of a marriage in a household and to invoke divine blessings for the couple.  These idols are frequently used as centerpieces or accents in the pooja room or the mandap (wedding altar) to reflect joy and harmony.                                                                       These traditional terracotta pieces are stunning but present distinct packing challenges: they are heavily ornamented, feature a prominent raised trunk and tusks, and often have a hollow, flared base or built-in oil lamps (diya holders) on the back.
Because of its specific cultural shape and fragility, we need to adjust the standard packing method to protect these delicate features during long-haul transport, thereby increasing freight and transportation costs.
